Fan Art of a character from Rurouni Kenshin. This was my first approach at a high quality stylized character, it really came to life for me when I finished rigging his face and was able to make really interesting expressions. I think the most challenging/time consuming stages were making all of the bandages (can be best seen in the high poly) as well as rigging his kimono. Modeled in 3ds Max and ZBrush, baked and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3, textured in 3DCoat and Substance Painter, and rigged in Maya.
